ASHADEEPAM CONVENT, KOONATHARA

Ashadeepam Convent School started as a challenge to provide education to the neglected differently abled children in Koonathara area at Palakkad on 25th August 1994. Although the place has some elementary and high schools, this is the only special school for the training, development and the rehabilitation of the differently abled around the vast Shoranur Municipal area. There is 15 and 3 non-teaching staff. Our specially trained sisters educate the children those who come to us and also we make them self-sufficient by giving the training in various craft works in order to come up in their lives. Thus, the parents are very much happy and grateful to us for the beautiful and inevitable service that we do for the development of these children.
